Heart Eyes for Parker

I knew this was going to be a great read from chapter one. I felt for Parker and his situation. I wanted him to have his HEA with someone who saw him as more than a pass to financial freedom. I'm not surprised this book is a five star read for me. Carly has a way of setting up the story and introducing the characters in a way that gets the reader immediately invested in their well-being and where the story is going. She builds intrigue without too much angst. Just enough for you to want to see what happens next but not to where you feel like your gut drops. This one was a page-turner. Loved it!

Another terrific Knight brother to swoon over! And swoon I did over the hottie Parker with his handsomeness, his athleticism and his heroism. And when he comes to Emily’s rescue he’s dynamite. Emily might be leery of the hunky middle Knight brother but the chemistry is too hot to deny even if she’s been hurt in the past. Parker has a few demons of his own and Emily is the perfect fit to help him overcome his disappointment. As these two work to forge a new reality and a romantic connection it’s wonderful. Ahh Switzerland. Parker is the brother they call that since he keeps the peace. After an accident that takes him out of the skiing world he goes to work with the brothers. He goes to Colorado to scope out for a corporate retreat and has to take a room at a small inn that’s seen better days. Emily has moved home to CO to help her dad at the inn. She really wants him to retire and move on from the dream of the inn he had with his late wife. Emily is just worried about him. Parker is stuck in town for a few days and quickly sees his need to help these people. With trouble from both past showing up can these to find love?

Super hotness!! Parker was nicknamed “Switzerland” by his family because of his easygoing nature and for trying to keep the peace, middle child like. Parker loves to help others. A trip for business to Colorado and meeting Emily changed something inside of him. Emily is recovering from a bad relationship and dealing with grief. Her tryst with Parker has a built in time expiration, and she believes she is fine with that. Off the charts chemistry and seriously hot encounters are Carly Phillips trademarks. This story does not disappoint in the hotness factor. Dealing with the past and working through family dynamics are qualities of Carly’s books that draw you in and keep you reading. Hard to put down!

You never know when starting a book what characters will draw you in. Why certain ones make you keep reading and getting more involved with their stories and others don’t keep your interest. There was something about Parker and Emily that kept me interested. Parker was a really nice guy, not a pushover, but was unselfish and who lost his direction. Emily had a lot of losses in a short amount of time and was unfairly overprotective of her father. Parker and Emily came together at the right time in their life, when they needed what each could give to the other. This was an easy read and was hard to put down. I’m looking forward to Ethan’s story.

Love the Knight brothers !

I love the Knight family and I am still hurting for Ian. He plays a role in this story, but the light shines on his little brother Parker. I feel for the hero of this story. I can feel how he is lost and just trying to fit in a world that he does not belong to. He needs the outdoors. He needs a new dream. With demons crawling from the past, he does not seem like he will ever find happiness again. I hurt for Parker. Emily is our strong heroine. She has a lot going on, but I can relate to her as a constant worrier. She has so much love that you can feel through each page you are reading. The chemistry with the characters goes unnoticed.

Great Fun read!!

Parker Knight is was a skier with dreams of going to the Olympics. After getting hurt he was forced to retired, and as you can imagine life has never been the same. He functions but he is not living his life to the fullest. His siblings recognize this and get him an assignment that forces him out of his office and not a skiers dreamland. Emily is back home helping her father at the B&B her mother and father opened, although she strongly believes her father should just sell the B&B and let someone younger deal with all the repairs it needs. Parker is instantly attracted to Emily even though she is clearly working hard at not liking him. He represents everything she mistrusts and doesn't want in her life again. Its a love story that reminds us to slow down and look at what is right in front of us because sometimes life is giving us a second chance at happiness. Learning to live again!

This is book 2 in the Knight Brothers series and it features Parker and Emily. Parker has had a rough time at life. He’s been through so much, repeatedly. It may have been intrusive of Ethan but I’m glad he brought in the private investigator. This is a story about learning to live again after so much tragedy. Both Parker and Emily have been through a lot. It was perfect between them until life got in the way. I didn’t see any way it could work out. This is a scorching HOT romance with a fantastic story line and awesome characters. I can’t wait for the next book!

Entertaining and heart wrenching

I love seeing a strong woman, especially when she shows some weakness and vulnerability. That is what this book is all about. Emily was "weak" with her ex-husband, but it was unknowingly. When she finally realized it she got out. Good for her. But she was never going to find herself in the same position. Until now. Enter Parker Knight. Another city slicker, alpha, in charge man. Well no thank you. No matter how much she wanted him gone, he stayed. And as each day passed, she became more open and vulnerable with him. They were meant to be, but neither was quite ready for it. Love hit them like an out of control boulder down the side of a mountain. Watching their interactions was entertaining. But also heartwrenching when they decided to be open with each other and bare their worst. Add in Harper to the mix and laughs were all around. But the best part was watching Parker stand up to Ethan and put him in his place. I think Ethan has alot of work ahead of him to get on Emily's good side, but if anyone can do it, he can.

But how will they make a long distance relationship work? His life is in New York. She is tied to the Inn and her family. This is the third in a series and it is classic Carly Phillips. I always love reading her series, especially the family based stories like the Dare’s and now the Knights. Parker and Emily share a sweet story about overcoming demons of the past and moving on together.

My favorite Knight!

Okay Parker Knight is hands down my favorite Knight!! This book got me through my 6 hour plane ride home yesterday and what a great couple to spend that time with. Parker is sweet, caring, generous (sometimes too much), charming (but in a good way) and so very sexy. He has many more redeeming qualities but you see what I mean. Since his skiing career and engagement ended Parker has just been going through the motions and has thrown himself into being successful working with his brothers. But something has been missing for a while now and he finds out what that is when his car breaks down in a Colorado town and he meets Emily at the B&B she runs with her father. He has definitely found his reason in Emily! Only she does not like him much at first because she thinks he is like her ex, but that is before she gets to know him and sees that it is actually the furthest thing from the truth. I love watching this relationship unfold and was rooting for them so hard!! I love how Parker acts with Emily and her Dad and how he truly cares about what is happening to their Inn and their town and will help them and fight for them. He is as protective as he is sweet and I simply adore him. I love Emily and felt she and Parker were perfect for each other. I love that she is so thoughtful, driven and caring but thankfully she had her friend Harper to help her see the light. This is another winner in this wonderful series!! I can't wait to see what's in store next!

Great read

This is another great read and addition to a great series. Parker and Emily are a great couple that help each other through their difficult pasts. I loved the way they met and how they interacted with each other. Carly Phillips never disappoints and this is another wonderful read. I am waiting (not patiently) the next addition to this series Dare Me Tonight.

Can be read as a stand alone!

Parker is sent to look at locations for the next company retreat by his brother after they get into an argument about things in Parker’s past that have continued to dictate his life. While traveling, his car breaks down in a small town with only one place to rent a room. That inn is where he meets Emily, who has sworn off men due to a recent divorce. Reluctant to let Parker stay there as she is trying to motivate her father to sell and move, she refuses but is overpowered by her father. While Parker reminds Emily of her ex, he is anything but, and the majority of the book is him working to prove that and win her over. For every step of headway he makes with Emily, he somehow gets two steps back, and the bulk of the book is about these bumps. Overall, it was a great book that you didn’t have to read the first one in the series prior to reading. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What a fantastic book, I devoured this in hours. My heart ached for Parker’s past. Loved how quickly he was charmed by Emily. She sure fought her feelings for him since he’s there only temporarily. Loved how they opened up to each other and how hard this was for them. Loved the ending and had some happy tears for them. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

I'm not surprised this book is a five star read for me. Carly has a way of setting up the story and introducing the characters in a way that gets the reader immediately invested in their well-being and where the story is going. She builds intrigue without too much angst. Just enough for you to want to see what happens next but not to where you feel like your gut drops. This one was a page-turner. Loved it!

Another terrific Knight brother to swoon over! And swoon I did over the hottie Parker with his handsomeness, his athleticism and his heroism. And when he comes to Emily’s rescue he’s dynamite. Emily might be leery of the hunky middle Knight brother but the chemistry is too hot to deny even if she’s been hurt in the past. Parker has a few demons of his own and Emily is the perfect fit to help him overcome his disappointment. As these two work to forge a new reality and a romantic connection it’s wonderful. A trip for business to Colorado and meeting Emily changed something inside of him. Emily is recovering from a bad relationship and dealing with grief. Her tryst with Parker has a built in time expiration, and she believes she is fine with that. Off the charts chemistry and seriously hot encounters are Carly Phillips trademarks. This story does not disappoint in the hotness factor. Dealing with the past and working through family dynamics are qualities of Carly’s books that draw you in and keep you reading. Hard to put down!

You never know when starting a book what characters will draw you in. Why certain ones make you keep reading and getting more involved with their stories and others don’t keep your interest. There was something about Parker and Emily that kept me interested. Parker was a really nice guy, not a pushover, but was unselfish and who lost his direction. Emily had a lot of losses in a short amount of time and was unfairly overprotective of her father. Parker and Emily came together at the right time in their life, when they needed what each could give to the other. This was an easy read and was hard to put down. I’m looking forward to Ethan’s story.

I love the Knight family and I am still hurting for Ian. He plays a role in this story, but the light shines on his little brother Parker. I feel for the hero of this story. I can feel how he is lost and just trying to fit in a world that he does not belong to. He needs the outdoors. He needs a new dream. With demons crawling from the past, he does not seem like he will ever find happiness again. I hurt for Parker. Emily is our strong heroine. She has a lot going on, but I can relate to her as a constant worrier. She has so much love that you can feel through each page you are reading. The chemistry with the characters goes unnoticed.

Parker Knight is was a skier with dreams of going to the Olympics. After getting hurt he was forced to retired, and as you can imagine life has never been the same. He functions but he is not living his life to the fullest. His siblings recognize this and get him an assignment that forces him out of his office and not a skiers dreamland. Emily is back home helping her father at the B&B her mother and father opened, although she strongly believes her father should just sell the B&B and let someone younger deal with all the repairs it needs. Parker is instantly attracted to Emily even though she is clearly working hard at not liking him. He represents everything she mistrusts and doesn't want in her life again. Its a love story that reminds us to slow down and look at what is right in front of us because sometimes life is giving us a second chance at happiness. Learning to live again!

This is book 2 in the Knight Brothers series and it features Parker and Emily. Parker has had a rough time at life. He’s been through so much, repeatedly. It may have been intrusive of Ethan but I’m glad he brought in the private investigator. This is a story about learning to live again after so much tragedy. Both Parker and Emily have been through a lot. It was perfect between them until life got in the way. I didn’t see any way it could work out. This is a scorching HOT romance with a fantastic story line and awesome characters. I can’t wait for the next book!

Entertaining and heart wrenching

I love seeing a strong woman, especially when she shows some weakness and vulnerability. That is what this book is all about. Emily was "weak" with her ex-husband, but it was unknowingly. When she finally realized it she got out. Good for her. But she was never going to find herself in the same position. Until now. Enter Parker Knight. Another city slicker, alpha, in charge man. Well no thank you. No matter how much she wanted him gone, he stayed. And as each day passed, she became more open and vulnerable with him. They were meant to be, but neither was quite ready for it. Love hit them like an out of control boulder down the side of a mountain. Watching their interactions was entertaining. But also heartwrenching when they decided to be open with each other and bare their worst. Add in Harper to the mix and laughs were all around. But the best part was watching Parker stand up to Ethan and put him in his place. I think Ethan has alot of work ahead of him to get on Emily's good side, but if anyone can do it, he can.

My favorite Knight!

Okay Parker Knight is hands down my favorite Knight!! This book got me through my 6 hour plane ride home yesterday and what a great couple to spend that time with. Parker is sweet, caring, generous (sometimes too much), charming (but in a good way) and so very sexy. He has many more redeeming qualities but you see what I mean. Since his skiing career and engagement ended Parker has just been going through the motions and has thrown himself into being successful working with his brothers. But something has been missing for a while now and he finds out what that is when his car breaks down in a Colorado town and he meets Emily at the B&B she runs with her father. He has definitely found his reason in Emily! Only she does not like him much at first because she thinks he is like her ex, but that is before she gets to know him and sees that it is actually the furthest thing from the truth. I love watching this relationship unfold and was rooting for them so hard!! I love how Parker acts with Emily and her Dad and how he truly cares about what is happening to their Inn and their town and will help them and fight for them. He is as protective as he is sweet and I simply adore him. I love Emily and felt she and Parker were perfect for each other. I love that she is so thoughtful, driven and caring but thankfully she had her friend Harper to help her see the light. This is another winner in this wonderful series!! I can't wait to see what's in store next!

Great read

This is another great read and addition to a great series. Parker and Emily are a great couple that help each other through their difficult pasts. I loved the way they met and how they interacted with each other. Carly Phillips never disappoints and this is another wonderful read. I am waiting (not patiently) the next addition to this series Dare Me Tonight.

Parker is sent to look at locations for the next company retreat by his brother after they get into an argument about things in Parker’s past that have continued to dictate his life. While traveling, his car breaks down in a small town with only one place to rent a room. That inn is where he meets Emily, who has sworn off men due to a recent divorce. Reluctant to let Parker stay there as she is trying to motivate her father to sell and move, she refuses but is overpowered by her father. While Parker reminds Emily of her ex, he is anything but, and the majority of the book is him working to prove that and win her over. For every step of headway he makes with Emily, he somehow gets two steps back, and the bulk of the book is about these bumps. Overall, it was a great book that you didn’t have to read the first one in the series prior to reading. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What a fantastic book, I devoured this in hours. My heart ached for Parker’s past. Loved how quickly he was charmed by Emily. She sure fought her feelings for him since he’s there only temporarily. Loved how they opened up to each other and how hard this was for them. Loved the ending and had some happy tears for them. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
